Live Oaks Community Church Mission Outreach
Herringshaw's

Jeff and Christine Herringshaw and their three children have served with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) since 1992. YWAM is an international movement of Christians from many denominations, dedicated to presenting Jesus Christ to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers to do their part in fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission. There are more than 1000 YWAM operating centers in 180 nations with approximately 17,000 full-time workers.

The Herringshaw family works with the YWAM center near Minneapolis, Minnesota. Together, Jeff and Christine oversee the missionary training programs. The entry-level program is called a Discipleship Training School (DTS) and the secondary school is the School of Evangelism (SOE). Each training course is five months, three months in the classroom and two months on the field. With a focus on training Latinos and sending missionaries to Latin American nations, the training schools are presented both in English and Spanish and draw students interested in Latin American as well as those from Latin America. The Herringshaw’s goal is to train up a new generation of young missionaries who have an intimate, love-relationship with Jesus and a passion to share this love with the nations.

Their specific duties include teaching, administrative work, leadership development, and pastoral care. Although based in Minnesota, they also travel domestically and internationally to teach at other YWAM training centers and to provide pastoral oversight to their students while on their training school field assignments.

Students from their past training schools are now serving as full-time missionaries in more than 20 different nations.
